Sierra de Chía

The Sierra de Chia (2.512 m.) is an excellent vantage point on the Macizo of Maladeta and the valley of Benasque. It is a set of geographies curled between Esera valley and the valley of Chistau, a small hidden valley between the mountains of Sobrarbe where most roads lead to the top of the mountains that separate them.

From Chia, one can see in a bird's eye view the town of Castejón de Sos through a short, flat road to the Chapel de la virgen de la Encontrada, a 15 minute walk from the town of Chia.

There is also a stunning viewpoint of both valleys a kilometer from Chia, Plan direction, in the hill of Sahún. Possibly, is the place where you can see one of the best views of the Pyrenees of the sites that are accessible by car, as are the valleys of Benasque and Chistau with its main mountain tops, and even higher peaks like Monte Perdido.

Take a detour to the left at Castejón de Sos towards Chia. In this town, at the end of the village take the track that leads to the hill in 12 km.
