The PATRIM 4.0 Project was approved by the Programming Committee of the INTERREG VI-A Spain-France-Andorra (POCTEFA) 2021-2027 Program on November 30, 2023. With a total budget of €1,364,663, this project will receive 65% funding from the FEDER funds, amounting to €887,030.70.
Project Objective
The main objective of PATRIM 4.0 is to unite entities from both sides of the Pyrenees, forming the Pyrenean Network for Innovation and Creative Cultural Heritage Management. This network aims to become a unifying force for Pyrenean cultural heritage centers by fostering collaboration on joint proposals for knowledge generation and transfer in heritage management.
The project focuses on a collaborative, innovative, and sustainable model of integrating heritage, product, and territory for effective management of the region’s cultural resources.
Key Axes of the Project
The PATRIM 4.0 project is structured around three key axes:
- Comprehensive Heritage Management Models in Mountain Territories:
- This focuses on museums, quality, training, dissemination, and the hybridization of knowledge and cultural heritage in the Pyrenees.
- PATRIM 4.0 as a Cultural and Heritage Destination:
- Initiatives such as Patrim Destinations, the creation of a Pyrenotheque, artist residencies, and traveling exhibitions will be promoted to attract visitors to the region.
- PATRIM 4.0 Innovation and Sustainability:
- The project will promote accessibility, digitalization, experiential tourism, and family tourism, ensuring that the region's heritage is accessible to all.
Specific Actions in the Ribagorza Region
As part of PATRIM 4.0, the Ribagorza Region will carry out specific actions to strengthen its cultural heritage. The following are key actions planned for the region:
- Upgrading and modernizing the Exhibition Hall at Casa Heredia and the Dinosaur Museum of Arén.
- Creating a Ribagorza Museum Network, which will foster collaboration among the various cultural centers in the region.
- Developing a web platform that will host a catalog of Ribagorza’s Performing and Musical Arts, providing visibility for local artists and cultural events.
Participating Entities
The PATRIM 4.0 Project brings together important cultural entities from both sides of the Pyrenees. Some of the key partners include:
- The Graus Town Council and its Espacio Pirineos.
- Consorci de l'Ecomuseu de les Valls d'Àneu (Lleida).
- The Museo de la Cueva de las Brujas (Navarre).
- The Office de Tourisme de Saint-Lary Soulan (Hautes-Pyrénées).
- The Communauté de Communes Neste Barousse (Hautes-Pyrénées).
Other participating institutions from Spain and France are also committed to innovating in cultural heritage management.
