How to get to

Tolva, stone guardian between Laguarres and Ciscar

In the valley nestled between the Laguarres Castle mountain range and the Ciscar gorge lies Tolva , a municipality that preserves the essence of medieval villages. Its narrow, cobbled streets, covered passageways, and two- or three-story stone houses create a tranquil atmosphere that invites leisurely strolls. The municipality comprises Tolva, Luzás, Sagarras Bajas, and Almunia de San Lorenzo, four villages that combine heritage, landscapes, and traditions.

Towers, temples and viewpoints to the past

Visitors can discover monuments that speak of centuries of history, such as the Falcés Tower and the Luzás Tower , both dating from the 11th century and offering panoramic views of the surrounding area. Within the town of Tolva itself stands the Church of Our Lady of Puy , an 11th-century Romanesque temple, while in Luzás, the Church of San Cristóbal retains its original simplicity.

Landscapes and paths to explore

The municipality is surrounded by hills, mountains, and fields that offer diverse and well-preserved natural landscapes . From Tolva, routes lead to the Ciscar gorge, paths winding through almond and holm oak groves, or trails that climb to ancient defensive sites. These itineraries allow visitors to enjoy natural viewpoints and the tranquility that characterizes the area.

Hiking and cycling enthusiasts will find varied terrain here, with routes of different difficulty and landscapes that change with each season.
