The region is carrying out a promotional campaign in Bilbao to attract Basque tourists.

The Ribagorza Region Tourism Competitiveness Plan, together with the Government of Aragon, is developing a promotional campaign in Bilbao.

The President of the Region, José Franch, highlights the importance of these actions, aimed at attracting the largest number of national travelers in the snow season, in a very important market for Ribagorza, in which it is necessary to maintain and increase the number of tourists received and take advantage of the new communications with Navarre and the Basque Country, with the recently inaugurated section of the N-260 road that links Sabiñánigo-Fiscal.

The campaign will be rolled out through advertisements in one of the most widely circulated newspapers in Biscay, radio spots, a public event to promote Aragon's tourism offerings (with prizes to be raffled), and a professional promotional event to which travel agencies, political institutions, business associations, professional associations, and cultural associations have been invited. These events will take place on December 12th at the Hotel Ercilla in Bilbao.

At the same time, the Ribagorza region, through its Tourism Competitiveness Plan, will carry out an advertising campaign to publicize its tourism offer.

During the weeks of December 10th and 17th, the Bilbao tram will run with a carriage fully wrapped with a message inviting everyone to share in the joy of the snow. From December 18th to January 01st, the corridors of Bilbao's main metro stations will feature 25 illuminated posters (1,75m x 1,50m) showcasing some of Ribagorza's tourist attractions. These posters feature images of skiing, the Aneto peak and the Forau de Aigualluts waterfall, the Romanesque architecture of the Obarra Monastery, cycling, and the blend of cultures exemplified by the Dag Shang Kagyu Buddhist temple. In addition to promoting the Aragonese Pyrenees, the campaign highlights access via the N-260 highway.
