A full weekend of activities in Ribagorza kicks off with Carnival in Benabarre. Having already begun on Wednesday at the CRA of Eastern Ribagorza, it continues on Friday and Saturday with children's activities in the afternoon, and culminates with the grand carnival party for young people and adults on Saturday starting at midnight, with €600 in prizes.

Espacio Pirineos, the Pyrenees Center for Creation and Culture, has already begun its extensive program for 2014. All day Saturday, March 7th, the maPA Festival (meeting arts – Pyrenees Aragon) will take place, a completely free event open to all ages. It will feature a wide variety of activities in which local artists will showcase diverse creative projects related to crafts, dance, theater, and film, in addition to a new edition of MIDA, the Independent Aragonese Design Market, from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

For those seeking thrills, we can once again enjoy paragliding and paramotoring in Secastilla , in the Sierra de Ubiergo mountains, with the paragliding and paramotor gathering taking place on March 8th and 9th (weather permitting). This event, promoted by the Secastilla Town Council and organized by the Huesca Flying Club , is supported by the Ribagorza Regional Council and the El Grado Town Council.

Finally, we'll be able to attend the Aragon Cross-Country Skiing Championship. This event, which takes place on Saturday and Sunday at the Llanos del Hospital slopes, brings together the best cross-country skiers in our region, and the skiers from Ribagorza are expected to be strong contenders.
