Sahún, Bonansa, Laspaules, Montanuy celebrate the festival of S. Juan with the Fallas.

The journey toward World Heritage status began last year with the creation of the association and the start of the process to declare the Fallas festivals of Sahún, Bonansa, Laspaúles, Montanuy, and San Juan de Plan as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Aragon. Last May, the Official Gazette of Aragon published this regional designation, which is a prerequisite for World Heritage status.

This weekend, Ribagorza also hosts the 3rd National Watercolorists Meeting, which includes a quick painting competition in Graus on Saturday morning. An exhibition of all the paintings will be on display at the Casa Heredia Exhibition Hall from June 23rd to 29th.

Meanwhile, the towns of Benasque, Castejon de Sos and Sahún are hosting clubs from all over Spain this weekend in the III Valle Escondido Basketball Tournament.
