Ribagorza, a Smart Tourist Destination | Innovation and Sustainability at FITUR 2025

Ribagorza: New Smart Tourist Destination

The Ribagorza region has reached a new milestone in its tourism development. Yesterday, at FITUR 2025, we received the Smart Tourist Destination distinction , an award granted by Segittur that recognizes our commitment to innovation, sustainability, and accessibility in the tourism sector.

A recognition of effort and vision for the future

This distinction was presented to our president, Roque Vicente , and represents a significant step towards a more efficient, sustainable, and technologically advanced tourism model. Ribagorza thus aligns itself with the principles of the Smart Tourist Destinations Network , consolidating its position as a benchmark for the tourism of the future.

What does it mean to be a participating Smart Tourist Destination?

A Smart Tourist Destination is not just a distinction, but an active commitment to continuous improvement in different key areas:

  • Technology integration: Use of digital tools to optimize visitor experience and tourism management.

  • Sustainability: We prioritize respect for the natural environment and the conservation of our heritage.

  • Accessibility: We implement measures to ensure that Ribagorza is a destination for everyone.

  • Innovation and efficiency: We apply new management models to optimize tourism resources.

An achievement for the entire region

This recognition is the result of the joint effort of administrations, companies and citizens, who have worked to position Ribagorza as an innovative tourist destination committed to the future of the sector.

Furthermore, Ribagorza is part of the Network of Smart Tourist Destinations as a member , which allows us to continue advancing in the continuous improvement of our tourist offer and in the development of new strategies to consolidate our leadership.

We keep moving forward!

This distinction is just the beginning of a journey towards smarter and more sustainable tourism. We will continue to implement improvements and develop initiatives that promote quality tourism in our region.
