August 11th WILD DAY in Benabarre
The event, which takes place on Saturday starting at 7:30 p.m., focuses this time on equality.
The performance of the unique “Ball dels Salvatges” returns after a year's absence in Benabarre.
It is a show of medieval origin in which a large part of the population participates.
This dance is an elaborate metaphor for courtly love, instinct, and lust. It involves over 100 local residents and many others who help with logistics throughout the day.
Under the theatrical coordination of Pingaliraina, it will be performed from 7:30 p.m. on Saturday in the Plaza Mayor.
Alongside this event, a truly interesting cultural program will take place:
11.00. Concorde Square. Installation of the Salvatge Camp and a workshop for the Salvatges.
12.00. Plaza de la Concordia. Pasacarres-Pasasalvatges. Street parade accompanied by Bentucada.
14.00. Lunch at local restaurants.
5:00 PM. Plaza Mayor. Visit to the old town. Theatrical guided tour.
